What is IMAST?
The International Meeting on Advanced Spinal Techniques (IMAST), sponsored by the Scoliosis Research Society, provides an international scientific forum for spine professionals to stay up-to-date on emerging new technologies and techniques. For three days, spine surgeons and other allied health professionals from around the world discuss, debate and demonstrate recent advances in spine surgery.
Who can attend IMAST?
IMAST invites those who include spinal surgery techniques or technology in their profession, including spine surgeons (both orthopaedic and neurological surgeons), residents, fellows, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, engineers and company personnel.
What language is spoken at IMAST?
Presentations and course materials will be provided in English.
Where is IMAST?
The 16th IMAST will be held at the Hofburg Congress Center, Vienna, Austria.
Where do I submit my abstract?
Abstracts must be submitted via the SRS Web site (http://www.srs.org). Submission opens November 1, 2008.
What is the deadline to submit an abstract?
The deadline to submit an abstract is February 2, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Only abstracts submitted on-line by the deadline will be considered.

How do I register for IMAST?
We encourage online registration for the 16th IMAST. To register online, click the "Registration" tab at the top of this page. You may also register by completing and mailing or faxing the Registration Form. All registrations will be confirmed via e-mail. If you do not receive a confirmation within two weeks of submission, please contact:

Advance registration is available until June 1, 2009. The registration cut-off date is June 15, 2009. Registrations will only be accepted onsite after this date. The registration fee includes entrance to the General and Concurrent Sessions, Spine Fundamentals, the Instructional Course Lectures, Hands-On Demonstrations, breakfasts, breaks, lunches, and the Wine and Cheese Reception.
All IMAST events are for registered medical attendees only.
Name substitutions can be made to the SRS in writing until June 15, 2008. Any name substitutions made onsite will result in a $100 processing fee. If the original registrant shows up at the meeting, he/she will be responsible for the onsite registration fee.
Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations must be received in writing. SRS will grant a full refund for cancellations received in writing on or before June 1, 2009. For written cancellations received after June 1st a $150 processing fee will be withheld from your refund. No refunds will be granted after June 15th.
Where do I reserve housing? What is the room rate?
For your convenience, SRS has secured reduced rate rooms at several hotels within walking distance of the Hofburg Congress Center. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and may be made only by completing and faxing a Reservation Form to the hotel of your choice.
