Seven sites all focused on orthopedics. Sophisticated operative environment. Ongoing spinal deformity teaching missions at Dominican Republic, Malawi, and Kenya locations. Currently building a center in Zambia that is to be designated as their primary spine surgery training site.

They have a broad health focus at their two sites. At their El Salvador site, there is a four year old, 2-3 visit/yr program of performing pediatric spinal deformity surgery, run primarily by Dr. Dennis DeVito.

Mercy Ships

"Mercy Ships, a global charity, has operated a growing fleet of hospital ships in developing nations since 1978. Following the example of Jesus, Mercy Ships brings hope and healing to the poor, mobilizing people and resources worldwide."
Focused on cataracts, cleft palate, orthopedics and women's reproductive health. These are 500+ ton ships, well equipped, with the potential for complex surgery. No spine surgery has been preformed, and there is so far no surgical teaching intent.

Operation Straight Spine
