Research Grant Committee Update

Virginie Lafage, PhD
Research Grant Committee Chair

Under the leadership of Ivan Chen, Past Chair, a new process for grant submission was implemented in 2020. The SRS now offers a single annual cycle for grant submission. It is my pleasure to announce that for the 2020 cycle the Research Grants Committee reviewed 63 letters of intent, and 29 full submissions. We had four team leaders who performed an admirable job in reviewing each submission in a timely manner while providing quality feedback. Thank you to Jwalant Mehta, Justin Smith, John Vorhies, and Donita Bylski-Austrow.

As a result of this team effort, 13 grants were funded for a total of $374,160. Congratulations to the winners listed below.
