Scoliosis Research Society

Dedicated to the optimal care of patients with spinal deformity

Welcome to SRS

The Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) is an international society that was founded in 1966 with 37 members. It has gained recognition as one of the world's premier spine societies. The SRS has maintained a commitment to research and education in the field of spinal deformities. Strict membership criteria ensure that the individual Fellows support that commitment. Current membership includes more than 1,000 of the world's leading spine surgeons, researchers, physician assistants and orthotists who are involved in research and treatment of spinal deformities.

President's Message

It is with great honor that I step into my role as your president.

As I look forward to this opportunity, I see a clear path for us to broaden participation across surgical specialty and national and international boundaries, thereby providing better opportunities to track the outcomes and complications of our patients, thereby improving patient care.

My key goals during this next presidential year are to increase diversity, inclusiveness, and engagement of all current and potential SRS members. Ideally, the SRS should be the educational resource of choice for all practitioners with an interest in the management of spinal deformity, no matter the age of the patient. By doing so, we will continue to increase the harmony and participation between surgeons performing adult and pediatric procedures -- across surgical specialties -- for those with an operative or nonoperative focus.
